Renin-Angiotensin System Drugs - Knowledge Laboratory quiz iconQuiz

Telmisartan licence change
Since these NPCi materials were published, telmisartan has been licensed for cardiovascular prevention (see Summary of Product Characteristics for details). To accompany this licence change, telmisartan has become a black triangle drug intensively monitored by the MHRA and CHM. This licence extension does not change any of the messages in these materials.

Test your knowledge (or just have some fun) by answering the questions in this quiz. Suggested answers are given after each question with some additional information and references. You even get a score at the end that you can print out and put in your CPD folder!

To reveal the answer to the quiz questions click on the arrow button at the bottom. The answer will then appear, however, you may need to use the slider on the right hand side of the page to reveal the whole text.

ACE-inhibitors and angiotensin-2 receptor antagonists (A2RA) drugs are used in a number of indications.  There are quizes which discuss their use in some of these on other floors of NPCi.  Click on the links below to view them

They are also used in chronic kidney disease, for which there is NICE guidance (see especially section 1.8).
