Important notice:
From 15th May 2012, the team delivering the work of the NPC will form the NICE Medicines and Prescribing Centre and will sit alongside the Clinical Guidelines team within the Centre for Clinical Practice.
As part of NICE, all future Medicines and prescribing outputs will be published on the NICE website and signposted from the Medicines and prescribing home page.

The NPC Local Decision Making (LDM)/New Medicines Yahoo! closed discussion group has been established for some time now (previously under the name of New Medicines Yahoo! Group) to allow the exchange of information to support local decision makers involved in the managed entry of new medicines into the NHS.
The forum will also be of benefit for NHS personnel involved in policy making about medicines by facilitating the sharing of related information, knowledge and wisdom and so increasing service effectiveness and efficiency. The matters shared include technical and procedural matters relating to

“New medicines” is taken to mean new chemical entities and also new presentations and indications of existing chemical entities.
